Why wait?

Everyone (yes, I know - "everyone" is overstated) seems to admit that the next Administration will inherent the wreck that is Iraq.

Why?

When W next requests funds, why can't Congress deny 'em? De-fund this pointless, futile escapade. Now. Today.

[This follows from my general argument: "If W be fer it, I'm agin' it!" In this case it seems so easy. Congress controls the purse! Use that power. Now. Today.]

Congress could use a little extortion: we'll not fund $600Bn Defense Budget if any of that $$$ is Iraq-related. The Pentagon can have the SCHIP budget: $2.5Bn/year. (Guess we won't get that F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.)

Stop the madness!
