Okay - it was way cool... BUT!

As previous post suggested, I think it's way cool that the U.S. chose a non-homogeneous (in Obama's case "African-American" seems a bit too convenient & not too accurate) President.

On the other hand, this does not represent the Second Coming. Much of the rhetoric coming out of the media would suggest otherwise:

"Transcendence"???

Let's get real. The U.S. today, Wednesday, 5 Nov 2008, is the same country it was on Monday, 3 Nov 2008.

Here's a slightly more realistic assessment:
Great expectations: Obama will have to deliver
As I've noted previously, it'll take both skill and luck to get the U.S. out of W's big hole.

Historic? Yep.
Utopia? ... hmmm, maybe not.
