I apologize for not getting this: Why is Congress wasting time on steroid use in major-league baseball?
I'm more than happy to acknowledge that steroid use is bad for the players, bad for the fans, bad for major-league baseball... BUT: tell me why Congress is getting involved?
We've got a ballooning nat'l debt, we're bogged down in two foreign wars, we provide fewer social services (e.g., healthcare) than any other industrialized nation, we have an Executive that asserts its unlimited authority. Every decision made by W/Cheney favors business at the expense of any other constituency. We've alientated friend and foe across the globe. Our basic freedoms are being undermined in the name of "national security."
We have real problems.
Steroid use in baseball isn't one of them.
