House passes $696 billion defense bill

$696Bn.
$696,000,000,000
Say it out loud. "Six-hundred ninety-six billion dollars."

That's about $2320 for every man, woman, and child in the U.S.
For one year.

What are getting for our money?
We're losing two wars to third-world guerilla forces. (That accounts for $189,000,000,000 of the total.)

We're giving military personnel a 3.5% pay raise. Okay - that's not hard to justify!

The rest?
To use biz-speak, "What's the value proposition?"

Beats me.
